I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with the service I recently received at your clinic. Not only did I find the level of care provided to be subpar, but I also encountered several issues that have left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied.
First and foremost, I was shocked to discover that a false statement was made to my insurance company regarding the onset of my pet's illness. This lack of honesty and integrity is unacceptable and has caused me significant inconvenience and frustration.
Furthermore, the service I paid for was not delivered as promised. Despite my expectations, Dr Kelli Chan demonstrated a lack of knowledge and competence, which ultimately resulted in a negative experience for both myself and my pet.
As a loyal customer, I had hoped for a much better experience at your clinic. However, based on the issues I have encountered, I am now compelled to share my disappointment with others who may be considering utilizing your services.
I strongly urge you to address these concerns and take steps to improve the quality of care provided at your clinic. Until then, I will be seeking alternative veterinary care for my pet.

This place fails on communication. Doctors are fine, and trustworthy. Poor communication shadows the talent of the practice. They claim to be open till 10 or midnight depending on which wall you look at. Doctors and techs have good communication, everyone else doesn't even know their own policy, and will be the death of your animal. It's hard to accurately rate this place because their medical proficiency is great, but useless when they have the current clerical state. Staff does not communicate between each other it seems. If this were improved I would say 5 star, but communication is so terrible it overpowers the doctors.
I was told over the phone as long as I get in by 10 PM we can be seen. I arrange to deal with traffic and picking up my dog from a distance based on that. Now I am forced to someone else that has never seen my dog, doesn't have medical history, where I am paying tons more and also have to drive further in a time when being nearby matters so I don't have to sleep in the car. Maybe the staff here will one day have their own experience when they get turned away from a hospital after they arrive on time.
Even worse the places I get pushed off to can't even help him. It's unfortunate that decent doctors and treatment, and facility is stuck behind such incompetent clerical staff. I've gone here a few years now, and this is the end or 3rd time this sort of thing has happened, but by far this is the worst. Because of their incompetent staff, I spend 45 min trying to give full medical history elsewhere before we can get treated, and again that is after he was turned away from 3 places in different cities. All this time wasted when my dog is barely alive. By the time we finally got treated after this abuse from DTLA Vets terrible communication failures, my dog had 106.8 fever, fatally low blood pressure, and was unable to walk. They wasted an hour that could have killed him. Don't advertise you accept patients until 10 PM when you refuse to accept the fact that accepting someone up to that point might mean you don't go home at 10 PM. This is not an industry that always has nice office hours. It was a genuine emergency that ultimately resulted in hospitalization, and begging for help you turn me away after your receiption told me to come in and be seen. If I hadn't been proactive my dog would have likely died at your doorstep and your useless, or rather highly incompetent reception to blame. Instead I called to give an advisory of updated changes to be efficient, and the story changes. Make up your mind on policy and be clear. Don't just go back and forth when it's convenient and most profitable. Maybe retrain some or all of your reception staff. Listening to calls is useless if you don't start cleaning the house for anyone who doesn't want to make the effort to relay accurate information.
Additionally your phone system is really out of date and overly complex. All you need is appointments, pharmacy, and live person.
You would think in a year period something would change, but unfortunately the most critical task of their reception remains a challenge and not everyone is on the same page.

Precious Review April 2023
I like this place overall, but their communication amongst themselves is terrible. It seems nobody is ever on the same page, and now I am being billed more because I have to do an urgent care appointment after nobody scheduled the followup lab. I am being told it doesn't matter because they can do it all at once, yet it does in fact matter because there is a greater cost for urgent care than a tech doing a lab. This is of course also due to a very obvious contradiction of increasing a daily dose prednisone while giving antibiotics. Suppressing the immune system while giving antibiotics...and here we are 3 months later still with the same infection. I guess its profitable that my dog remains sick. They do seem to care, but the lack of communication presents it as if they only care about profit because of the situations it seems to result in time after time.

Highly trusted veterinarian, my Chocolate Labradoodle has been very well taken care of since nine weeks old. They are very knowledgeable, understanding and and helpful. Specially to new dog owners! Their recommendations for nutrition and preventative care.
I highly recommend this hospital.

I love the professionalism and dedication that they put in their work… they’re literally life savers… my doggy is healthy and happy after the visit… thank you

This place is absolute robbery! $120 for initial exam and A $500 deposit for everything besides sending you with meds. That means it costs $720 just for them to inform you alone that your pet needs an exray, or blood work. $720 for anything besides meds. I’m appalled at the blatant discrimination of this practice. If you’re poor, you’re not welcome here. If you’re low income, they don’t want you. This place is for people with money only. They should be ashamed of themselves for such blatant rejection of marginalized people and their pets in the area. whether the pet and their owner has 100 or 1000 dollars, we all deserve to have them in our lives, happy and healthy, and this is just an egregious greed fest because they can. Shame on this establishment for only catering to the wealthy.

Gorgeous experience at DTLA VETS! Serene waiting room, clean and bright. Lovely people. Dr Chan saw my cat for our first visit and couldn't have been more attentive. She spent time with us, explained everything and didn't order unnecessary diagnosis studies. Today I brought in Suleiman too!
